✏️ Creating a Delivery Challan

Create a delivery challan to accompany goods being transported to a customer or job site. The form is split into three info cards at the top and an item table below.

Steps to Create​

  1. Go to Delivery Challan from the main menu
  2. Click + New Challan (top right)
  3. Fill in the form (see sections below)
  4. Click Create Challan

Customer Details​

For GST compliance, selecting the correct Purpose is important. Job Work and Goods on Approval may require return documents if the goods come back.

Transport Details​

Fill in Vehicle Number and Driver Name when dispatching by road — this information is required on the printed challan and for e-way bill compliance.

Item Table​

Each row represents goods being dispatched:

Adding Items​

  • + Add New Row — adds a blank row at the bottom
  • + Add Items in Bulk — opens a product selection dialog to pick and add multiple items at once

Bulk Add Dialog​

  1. Click + Add Items in Bulk
  2. Search for products using the search bar
  3. Check the products you want — use Select All to check all
  4. Set quantities using the +/− buttons
  5. Click Add Items to insert all selected items at once

Delivery challans can be created with or without pricing. For job work or approval scenarios, you may leave prices at 0 and add pricing only when the actual invoice is raised.

Printing​

After saving, use the Print button (available in View mode) to generate the challan document including: challan number, date, customer/delivery address, vehicle and driver details, itemized goods list, and terms & conditions.

Print at least 3 copies — one for your records, one for the driver, and one for the recipient to sign and return.
