Pharmacy Approval
The Pharmacy Approval queue lists all prescriptions submitted from consultations that are awaiting pharmacy review. A pharmacist or authorised staff member reviews each prescription, adjusts quantities if needed, and approves it for billing.
Navigate to Pharmacy Approval from the sidebar under Medical / Pharmacy.
Queue Summary

| Awaiting Review | Number of prescriptions currently pending pharmacy approval |
| Pending Value | Total value (₹) of all prescriptions awaiting review |
Prescription Queue
The approval queue table shows one row per pending prescription.
| Column | Description |

| Patient | Patient name and patient ID |
| Prescription # | Unique prescription reference number (e.g., RX-00002) |
| Submitted | Date and time the prescription was submitted from the consultation |
| Items | Number of medicine line items in the prescription |
| Total | Total cost of all medicines in the prescription |
| Action | Review & Edit button — opens the prescription for review |
Reviewing a Prescription
Click Review & Edit to open a prescription. In the review panel you can:

| View medicines | See each prescribed medicine, dosage, and quantity |
| Edit quantities | Adjust quantities based on available stock or clinical guidance |
| Approve | Confirm the prescription and move it to billing |
| Reject / Remove | Remove an item or reject the full prescription if needed |
Once approved, the prescription cost is added to the patient''s pharmacy account balance and the medicines are reflected in inventory.
Billing Integration
Approved prescriptions automatically create billing entries linked to the patient''s customer account. You can view and finalise these in the standard Invoices section.
Prescriptions submitted during a New Consultation appear here immediately. Approve them promptly to keep the patient''s pharmacy balance accurate.
