Salary Configuration
Configure earnings, deductions, and allowances per employee. The Salary Configuration page shows all employees with their salary breakdown and lets you configure individual salary structures.
Navigate to Employee Management → Salary Config from the sidebar.
Page Controls
| Control | Description |

| Search bar | Search employees by name or code |
| Configured | Count of employees with salary configured |
| Total | Total number of employees |
Employee Salary List
The page displays all employees with their salary breakdown:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| # | Row sequence number |
| Employee | Employee name and employee code |
| Basic | Basic salary amount (₹) |
| Earnings | Total earnings/allowances amount (₹) |
| Deductions | Total deductions amount (₹) |
| Net Salary | Final salary = Basic + Earnings − Deductions (₹) |
| Actions | Configure button to set up or edit salary structure |
Configuring Salary
- Find the employee in the list
- Click the Configure button on the employee's row
- Set up the salary components:
Earnings
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| Basic Salary | Base salary component |
| HRA | House Rent Allowance |
| DA | Dearness Allowance |
| Special Allowance | Any special allowances |
| Bonus | Performance or festival bonus |
Deductions
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| PF | Provident Fund contribution |
| ESI | Employee State Insurance |
| Professional Tax | State professional tax |
| TDS | Tax Deducted at Source |
- Save the configuration
tip
Configure salary for all employees before running payroll. The Configured count at the top right shows how many employees have their salary set up.
How to Use
- Navigate to Salary Config from the sidebar
- Review the employee list with current salary breakdown
- Click Configure on an employee to set up or edit their salary structure
- Define earnings (allowances) and deductions
- Save the configuration
- Repeat for all employees
- Once all employees are configured, proceed to Payroll to process salaries
