✏️ Creating an Estimate

Create a professional estimate or quotation for your customer, complete with itemized pricing, taxes, and validity terms.

Steps to Create an Estimate

  1. Go to Estimates from the main menu
  2. Click + New Estimate (top right)
  3. Fill in the form (see sections below)
  4. Click Create Estimate

Estimate Details

Create Estimate — Top

Estimate DateDate of the estimate — defaults to today
Valid UntilExpiry date for the quoted prices — defaults to 30 days from today
StatusOnly shown in Edit mode — change the estimate status (Draft, Sent, Accepted, etc.)

Customer Information

Select Existing CustomerDropdown to pick a saved customer — auto-fills Name, Email, and Phone
Customer NameCustomer's name — pre-filled if selected from dropdown

Select a customer from the Select Existing Customer dropdown to auto-fill their name, email, and phone in one step.


Item Table

Each row in the item table represents a product or service being quoted.

Item DetailsProduct name (type to search catalog), HSN/SAC code, and optional description

MRPMaximum Retail Price — auto-filled from product catalog (read-only display)
RateSelling price per unit
DiscountDiscount percentage (%) — discount amount is calculated automatically
TaxGST tax rate — shows as "12%", "18%", etc., or "Non-Taxable"
Tax AmtCalculated tax amount — auto-calculated (read-only)
AmountLine total — auto-calculated (read-only)

Adding Items

  • + Add New Row — adds a blank row at the bottom of the table
  • + Add Items in Bulk — opens a product selection dialog to pick and add multiple items at once

Bulk Add Dialog

  1. Click + Add Items in Bulk
  2. Search for products using the search bar
  3. Check the products you want to add — use Select All to check everything
  4. Set the quantity for each selected item using the +/− buttons
  5. Click Add Items to insert all selected items into the table at once

Create Estimate — Bottom

Totals Panel

The totals panel on the right calculates automatically as you add items:

CGSTCentral GST portion (half of total tax — shown when applicable)
SGSTState GST portion (half of total tax — shown when applicable)
Shipping ChargesEnter delivery/freight charges manually
Total (₹)Grand total = Sub Total + CGST + SGST + Shipping Charges

CGST and SGST are each shown as half of the total tax. They only appear when the tax amount is greater than zero.
