Create New Order
Create a new hotel order for a selected table. Browse products by category, add items, and submit the order to the kitchen.
Navigate to Create New Order from the sidebar, or click Take Order on a table from the Table Selection page.
Order Header
| Field | Description |

| Table Number | Selected table (e.g., 01) — shown with a table indicator badge |
| Location | Table location (e.g., Window Side) |
| Table / Take Away toggle | Checkbox toggle — Table (with a dropdown to pick/change the table number) or Take Away |
Product Search
The left panel lists product groups for adding items to the order:

| Search bar | Search by product name or ID |
| Groups | Your product categories/groups, each with a count badge showing the number of products in that group |
Click a group to browse its products, or use the search bar directly, then select a product to add it to the order.
Order Items
The main panel shows items added to the current order:

| Name | Item name |
| Price | Unit price (₹) |
| Quantity | Quantity for the order, adjustable with − / + steppers |
| Discount | Discount applied |
| Tax (GST) | Tax amount for the line |
| Total | Line total (₹) |
The item count and running total are shown at the bottom left (e.g., "1 item • ₹126.00").
Order Summary

| Subtotal | Sum of all item amounts (₹) |
| Tax | Total tax across all items (₹) |
| Total | Grand total amount (₹) |
| Notes (optional) | Free text field for special instructions, dietary requirements, or kitchen notes |
Action Buttons

| Create Order | Submits the order for this table |
| Cancel | Discards the order and returns to Table Selection |
