🚚 Delivery Challans Overview
A Delivery Challan is a document that accompanies goods being transported. It records what was dispatched, to whom, by which vehicle, and for what purpose — without necessarily involving a sale.
Navigate to Delivery Challan from the main menu to see all your challans.

Summary Cards

Challan Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | Being created, not yet dispatched |
| Dispatched | Goods are en route |
| Delivered | Goods received at destination |
| Cancelled | Challan cancelled before delivery |
| Invoice Generated | A tax invoice has been raised for these goods |
Change the status directly from the list using the Status dropdown on each row. Once Invoice Generated, the status shows as a fixed badge and cannot be changed.
Challan Purpose Options
The Purpose field indicates why goods are being moved:

| Goods on Approval | Customer examines before purchase decision |
| Exhibition / Trade Fair | Demo or display at an event |

Viewing a Challan
Click the View icon (eye) to open a read-only popup showing:
- Customer name, phone, and email
- Challan date and purpose
- Delivery address, transport mode, vehicle number, driver name (if set)
- Line items: Product, HSN, Qty, Unit Price, Discount, Tax %, Total
- Totals: Subtotal, Discount, Tax, Grand Total
- Notes and Terms & Conditions (if set)
Converting to Invoice
Click the Generate Invoice icon (receipt) on any challan row to create a tax invoice with the goods details pre-filled. The challan status changes to Invoice Generated and the button is removed.
A challan can only be converted to an invoice once.
